The presentation of a new book will be the cultural offer that Finestrat has scheduled for this Friday, May 16. It will be at the Museu de Finestrat, located in the Parc Alcalde Miguel Llorca, at 7:30 p.m. The work "Diània, Terra de Castells" will be presented by its author, the writer and photographer Just Sellés.
Diània was the name given in ancient times to the territory formed by the Alicante regions of Marina Alta, Comtat and L'Alcoià and the Valencianas of La Safor, Vall d'Albaida and La Costera, all of them bordering the two provinces of the Community. These lands were defensive bastions and dwellings of the lords, in times that were turbulent, hence they are dotted with buildings of old fortifications.
In this work, mainly photographic, the author invites you to discover the 93 buildings and to learn about the history and culture of this Andalusian period.
