Finestrat has a new pedestrian and bicycle route between La Cala and the Commercial Boulevard

The weekend is here and it's time to discover the new pedestrian and cycling route, which connects La Cala with the Commercial Boulevard and the TRAM stop. This kilometre and a half of path can be done on foot and by bicycle, and more importantly, it will be done without cars. It will also serve as a link with the bike lane that arrives from Benidorm and with the TRAM station, which connects Alicante and Dénia.

The La Cala-Bulevar Route responds to the growing demand from residents and tourists to enable exclusive areas for alternative use to road traffic, especially in seasons of massive influx of vehicles such as this sales season.

This project represents an investment of €471,147.38, with a grant of €375,432.64 from European funds, through the Spanish Railways Foundation. Finestrat is among the 10 municipalities that have received this financial aid.
