La Cala is getting ready to make this summer unforgettable again for bathers
The beach is prepared to safely welcome all tourists who choose La Cala as a destination to spend their summer holidays. Its physiognomy will change radically as these first days of June go by. You can already see how the number of bathers has increased, as well as the hustle and bustle, typical of this summer season. Everything is in place to make the holidays safe and several lifeguards will monitor the coastline every day of the week until October 15. Welcome to summer 2026.
The physiognomy of La Cala begins to change. The slow atmosphere of winter and, part of spring, begins to give way to the sun and beach typical of summer. It is becoming more and more evident every day that the pulse is accelerating. The Red Cross booths, the space for reading and the accessible beach already look so that the tourist who chooses Finestrat lacks nothing.
These are the services:
*Cala Segura: The Lifeguard is operational every day, from Monday to Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., from June 1 to October 15. To inform bathers about the state of the sea, in addition to the raising of the corresponding flag, green, yellow or red, the solar-powered public address system is already active. The flags include the ColorADD code, a graphic system with geometric symbols that allows those with color blindness to know the risk of bathing.
*Accessible Cove: Cala de Finestrat is an "accessible beach", since every day, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., people with reduced mobility can enjoy bathing assisted by lifeguard personnel. You only have to go to the post to request this assistance.
*Smoke-free cove: La Cala de Finestrat has been a "smoke-free beach" since 2020 and you can neither smoke nor vape. The objective is to preserve the health of bathers and the environmental quality of this coastal area, by avoiding the damage caused by cigarette butts in the sand and water.
*Certified Cove: La Cala de Finestrat has ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications that guarantee compliance with the quality and environmental protection parameters of these international distinctions. By having these certifications, the Qualitur Flag flies in La Cala, which is the emblem that accredits the excellent quality of services and the firm commitment of the municipality to environmental preservation and the quality of the beach.
*Connected Cove: La Cala has a WiFinestrat Network, with free access on the beach itself and on the promenade, in addition to the USB connection on various benches on the promenade to facilitate the recharging of mobile devices.
In addition, in La Cala all bathers can enjoy the following services:
*The Bio-Healthy Park: for outdoor physical exercise. There is the possibility of renting sunbeds and parasols and beach volleyball nets.

*Outdoor gymnastics: In Plaça de l'Àmfora, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. From June 15, summer time begins, at 9:30 a.m., to avoid high temperatures.
