Music, theatre and traditional gastronomy make up this weekend's cultural agenda
The cultural agenda of Finestrat for this long weekend is varied and is aimed at all audiences. Popular theatre, educational concert for children and traditional cuisine is the interesting offer that can be enjoyed during these days. In addition, the gastronomic offer of the restaurants is so wide that it makes the municipality the ideal place to celebrate San José's Day, which is also Father's Day. Congratulations!!
As Thursday is a holiday, the cultural activities scheduled for this weekend are brought forward to the afternoon of this Wednesday. The theater group "Las revoltosas de La Cala de Finestrat" will perform a play at 6:00 p.m. at the municipal House of Culture. Admission will be free and then there will be a picaeta to celebrate the day of San José.
On Saturday, March 21, a popular meal is scheduled in the Plaça de la Unió Europea, organized by the Comissió de Festes La Xirimbela. You will be able to taste traditional dishes from Finestrat such as Coca Girà and Pebrera Tallà. In addition, live demonstrations will be held so that you can learn how to make these delicious recipes. There will be music and inflatables for the children.
The end of this agenda will be on Sunday, March 22, at the Casa de Cultura. The Contra Temps Company will perform an educational concert, entitled "The arrival of Aku", which is aimed at children. It is an interactive musical theater, based on percussion and African culture, and children will have to pass the musical tests of the Aku spirit to get their magic feathers.
With traditional African instruments, such as the djembé or the xequeré, choreographies adapted to each age and a close and visual scenography, the little ones discover how teamwork, a positive attitude and creativity can transform everyday life into a party full of rhythm and joy.
