Until November 26 you can visit the painting exhibition "Land of Shadows" at the Museu de Finestrat. Its inauguration will be this Friday, October 17, at 7:00 p.m., and the exhibition will be presented by its author, the French artist, based in the municipality, Nelly Baude Gerouard.

Lovers of collages will be able to enjoy this exhibition that is made of ochre tissue paper, torn with anthropological motifs and lines with Indian ink. The depth of the work is achieved through superimpositions or layers of matter, worked with ochre pigments.

The earth has been the central element that this local artist has used to make this series, which she made in the year 2000 and which provides a new pictorial perspective, as well as a mythological vision of humanity.

Nelly Gérouard, who studied Fine Arts in Caen, France, received the Ville de Caen prize in 1988 for her work. She was selected in Montrouge and by Eighty magazine as a young creator. To his curriculum must be added the important grant from the Villa Medicis for the Fuente de España project. His works have been exhibited in several galleries, in addition to participating in group exhibitions. He currently lives in Finestrat and is exploring the field of gestural painting.

Within the framework of this same exhibition at the Museu de Finestrat, on November 6, at 6:00 p.m., there will be a conference entitled "The artist and the gentleman", which will be given by Jean Marc Baude.

Thursday and Friday, from 09:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
