The warm nights of May invite you to contemplate the illumination of the hanging houses

When sun goes down and night falls over Finestrat, the old hanging houses regain an unexpected prominence under dim lighting, of different colors, which highlights the stone, the balconies and the vertical relief of the historic center. The warm nights of this month of May invite you to come to this charming municipality on the Costa Blanca and visit its old town. As soon as you arrive, at the entrance to the town, there is the peña and, above it, the stepped façade.

The night lighting of La Penya and those popularly known as hanging houses is part of an intelligent ornamental lighting project, which has been promoted by the City Council of Finestrat with the European Next Generation funds. There are more than 110 LED projectors that are installed in the avalanche, creating a nocturnal image that highlights the vertical profile of the town and its landscape value.
