Tourists and surfers come to La Cala to enjoy the waves left by the storm
Only very occasionally does the sea get into the rough cove. Today is one of those winter days, with dark grey skies, big clouds and the sea crashing against the rocks, splashing foam on the promenade. It is so extraordinary and so beautiful that tourists come to photograph it and surfers, board in hand, go in to ride the waves.
Thinking of La Cala is practically synonymous with good weather, calm waters and rays of sunshine projecting on the sand. It doesn't matter the time of year. However, today it is a rara avis. The waves invade the space where there are normally hammocks and sunbeds, breaking strongly, making themselves felt on the promenade. It is not the best day to enjoy a swim, unless you are a surfer, but it is an extraordinary day to experience an unexpected, stormy, dark, sublime landscape.
