Walking along a greenway between La Cala and the Commercial Boulevard will be a reality in a few months. This kilometer and a half of path can be done on foot and by bicycle, and what is more important, it will be done without cars. The works have already begun and cover the Finestrat Avenue, Picasso Avenue, Nou d'Octubre, N-332 underpass and Cantabria Street. It will also serve as a link with the bike lane that arrives from Benidorm and with the TRAM station that connects Alicante and Dénia.

The La Cala-Bulevar Greenway responds to the growing demand from residents and tourists to enable exclusive areas for the alternative use of road traffic, especially in seasons of massive influx of vehicles, such as summer or shopping season such as Christmas and sales.

This project represents an investment of €471,147.38, with a grant of €375,432.64 from European funds through the Spanish Railways Foundation. The approximate execution period will be 6 months.
