Finestrat is a municipality that has managed to preserve its most traditional festivals. This is the case of Sant Antoni del Porquet, a deeply-rooted festival that recalls the agricultural and livestock municipality that it was, in which religion occupied a central place. This Saturday, January 24, at 9:00 a.m., the collection of donations will begin in the old town, accompanied by the Music Band of the Puig Campana Musical Center. It will be the starting signal for a day in which there will be no shortage of music and gastronomy. On Thursday and Friday they were collected by the rural areas.

At 10:30 a.m. the demonstration of the pig to the Cross will be held, followed, at 12:00 p.m., by the ringing of bells, and half an hour later, the blessing of the animals and the auction will take place in the Plaça del Poble.

The popular festival will be held from 1:00 p.m. There will be bar service and you will be able to taste some of the traditional tapas of Finestrat, as well as different sausages and grilled pork. At lunchtime, as it could not be otherwise, pig on the Cross.

The little ones will have, from 3:30 p.m., workshops and, in the afternoon, at 4:00 p.m., there will be an afternoon, which will be enlivened by the charanga "Mel de Romer". The final point will be at 8:30 p.m. with dinner at the Barra de la Comi,
