Innovation allows you to experience the history of Finestrat in the Museum first-hand

The Museu de Finestrat enters a new stage of museum innovation. The screens that are installed throughout the Permanent Exhibition of the Casa de la Font de Carré, located next to the Museum building, in the Parc Alcalde Miguel Llorca, allow each visitor to have their own experience and enjoy the passage of time, getting to know more about the culture and way of life of the inhabitants of this charming town in the Marina Baixa.

The screens in each room of the old farmhouse become the ideal pedagogical resource to learn about such different aspects ranging from the rehabilitation work to the architecture of the time, including details of daily life such as dresses, bedding, etc. the kitchenware or the different rooms that go from the cellar to the stables.

These explanations tell curious facts such as the use of the lamp, which used to be hung on the wall or placed on the table and its flame was regulated with a wick, providing a warm and constant light, ideal for long family evenings. The stable is one of the favorite rooms of the little ones, due to its collection of cowbells, and in the cellar you can discover the collection of bottles, jugs and cornials to keep the water fresh all year round.
