ISO flags fly in La Cala and certify its environmental quality
It is no secret that this little piece of beach that Finestrat has in La Cala is a paradise. She is small, flirtatious, clean and cozy. There are many bathers who bathe in its waters every day of the year and, even more, they are those who choose its fine sand to spread their towel or place their chairs to sunbathe. Taking care of this small portion of the Mediterranean that bathes the municipality is essential so that visits can be harmonized with the commitment to environmental protection. This effort has been recognized with the ISO flags that certify this excellence.
Flags are already flying in La Cala announcing that this is a town where the environment is protected and the services provided to tourists and bathers who choose this beach to spend their recreational days are taken care of. Achieving ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 is synonymous with efficient management, in the case of the former, and a real commitment to caring for the environment, in the case of the latter. To this we must add that it is smoke-free and that it was the first in Spain to do so, which also demonstrates the commitment to the health of its visitors.
Among the services offered by La Cala de Finestrat is the accessible beach area, which facilitates bathing for people with reduced mobility; playgrounds with awnings; the bio-healthy area, for outdoor physical exercise; beach volleyball nets; public toilets and the possibility of renting hammocks, umbrellas, awnings and jet skis. In terms of connectivity, La Cala has a WiFinestrat Network, with free access to the beach and promenade, as well as the USB connection in various banks in the area to facilitate the recharging of mobile devices.
The lifeguard service began at Easter and is active every weekend until June 1, when it will be maintained throughout the summer from Monday to Sunday.
