The artist Paqui Miralles exhibits her collection of art and women this February at the Museu de Finestrat
Art and tradition go hand in hand in the program of this first weekend of February in Finestrat. A new painting exhibition will be exhibited at the Museu de Finestrat, located in the Alcalde Miguel Llorca park. The artist Paqui Miralles presents her collection dedicated to art and women. Twenty paintings of women portrayed on recycled material, made up of donated and restored paintings, in which color stands out above all else.
The exhibition opens this Friday, February 6, at 6:00 p.m., and the visiting hours of the Museu de Finestrat are Thursday, Friday and Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on Sundays, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Admission is free and can be visited until February 27.
On Saturday Sant Blai is celebrated, one of the most popular festivals in Finestrat, declared of Local Tourist Interest due to its importance. The place of the celebration is the Font del Molí and from 12:00 there will be the music of the Flag, the popular bar and the famous "bollets", a typical sweet of this festivity, which is part of the identity and local gastronomy. It is made with corn flour, almond flour, sugar and anise seeds.
Recipe Bollets de Sant Blai
INGREDIENTS
– 500gr of ground almonds with skin.
– 500gr of corn flour.
– 500gr of sugar.
– 6 eggs.
– 1 glass and a half of oil.
– Zed lemon and cinnamon.
WINEMAKING
Mix the ingredients with the lemon and cinnamon.
Add the beaten eggs and oil until you get a homogeneous paste.
Make balls of paste and on greaseproof paper crush it into a coca one centimeter thick.
Sugar and cinnamon on top and bake at 150-160 degrees until they take on color.
Let cool and enjoy.
